YEAR 9

Love Bites Junior - Year 9

Year 9 is the third of three programs in the Love Bites Junior Respectful Relationships Education program.

The year 9 Love Bites Program is designed to be delivered in groups of 30 in one full school day or over 8 sessions in a tailored environment.  The following themes are explored in the year 9 program:

  • Managing emotional responses
  • Standing up to stereotypes
  • Gender and violence
  • Identifying respect and disrespect 
  • Types of abuse and violence
  • Affirmative sexual consent and the law
  • Managing breakups
  • managing risks online
  • Bullying, discrimination and violence
  • Being an upstander
  • Seeking support and supporting a friend
  • Creative session

Love Bites Junior provides the Central Coast community with sustainable, localised, whole-of-community respectful relationship programs and strategies created by NAPCAN. The programs are set within a trauma-informed practice framework and are guided by behaviour change theory, children and young person inclusive practice, and culturally inclusive practice with highly trained NAPCAN certified facilitators from local organisations across the Central Coast.
