What does Love Bites Facilitation involve?

Facilitators usually work in pairs within a classroom. The team comprises a lead facilitator and a shadow, enabling them to offer support to individuals who may find the content triggering or require extra assistance. Facilitators are responsible for engaging constructively with students' questions or opinions but are not tasked with managing student behavior, as a teacher is present in the classroom throughout the sessions.

How do I become a Love Bites facilitator

Attendance at our training implies a commitment to assisting us in delivering the program to schools across the Central Coast region. Facilitators must agree to conduct sessions at one school per term each calendar year. Securing permission from their employer is a prerequisite for facilitators to attend training and facilitate sessions at their employers cost. Facilitators must possess a valid Working With Children Check, be prepared for screening by the Department of Education.  If you are interested in joining our team, you can register for training via the link below or place yourself on the waitlist. All requests to undergo facilitation training will be evaluated for suitability.

Whats involved in Love Bites Facilitation Training?

Facilitator training involves a 2-day intensive course that prepares you to deliver the Love Bites senior and an additional on day training to facilitate Love Bites Junior in schools. The training provides background information about best practice standards in respectful relationship education, as well as providing information about the theoretical frameworks that inform the programs. Furthermore, participants will gain firsthand experience with the program by engaging in the activities designed for the young people who take part in the program.

Who is the training provider?

Love Bites facilitator training is provided by NAPCAN and their team of expert trainers. If you are interested in training to be a facilitator but are not located within the Central Coast region you can find more information on training in your area via the NAPCAN website here.
